What Does Your Lipstick Say About You?
Which is best: red, brown, purple or nude? I honestly have no clue. Even after researching, I still probably wouldn’t know. ;) Do you want to know what I do know? YOU ARE LOVED.
I know that you are completely loved. With every flaw, sin and stain that has been a part of your life, you are STILL loved.
Every wrong decision you have made in the past and every decision you WILL make in the future cannot erase this love. No matter what you have done, Christ CHOSE to love you. I have worked with many girls as a camp counselor. Most of them had something in common. Because of a decision they had made in the past, they felt like they were unable to experience the love of Jesus. When we sin and dwell upon it, we allow ourselves to sink in a pit of guilt. We get tied down by shame.
Guilt is like mud. It’s gross and dirty. If we leave it on us for too long, it begins to get hard. But when we seek redemption something amazing happens. It isn’t hard anymore. It begins to wash off of us and we no longer feel dirty. We are forgiven and Christ has made us clean. When that happens, let it go. Don’t allow yourself to fall back into the pit. Don’t let whatever mistake you have made define you. You are more than that. Run from that mistake and chase grace. Don’t miss out on the beauty of His grace because you were too busy digging a pit. Can I encourage you today to climb out of the pit of guilt and taste His grace?
