Bind My Wandering Heart to Thee

You know where the safest, most secure place is to be?

If you're thinking, "Yea, it's when I achieve straight A's, get into a good college, make a lot of money and buy a big house in a safe neighborhood." or, "In my boyfriend's arms cuddled up in a blanket." or, "When I have a flat tummy and no double chin and actually feel good about myself for once."

Try again.

The safest place to be isn't financial security. It's not having a big strong boyfriend who "loves you," and it's not in your physical identity.

The safest place to be is when you are in God's will.

This is on my heart because I haven't been obedient to God with the ministry He has provided. This is causing me to feel unstable, insecure, lost, and without purpose. I KNOW I have a purpose, and I KNOW my worth is not found in the things I do or don't do, but God has called beYOUtiful in Christ to be a movement of encouragement and love to young ladies everywhere to help them find who God is and how He has created them in His image.

I haven't been moving in this ministry God has set before me.

I'm involved in many young ladies' lives and am in several discipleship relationships, yet somehow God is telling me there's more. THIS IS AWESOME. and scary. Fear has paralyzed me and Satan has said there's no way any work we put into this ministry will be worth it. No one knows our name, we have no experience in creating a ministry, so why even try? Isn't that just like him to lie like that?

But God tells us, "Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain" 1 Corinthians 15:58. This is the truth. If God is calling us to write a blog to reach teen girls, we shall use His words to speak to them. If He's calling us to post encouraging pictures and verses on Facebook and Instagram, we shall be a light through social media. If He's calling us to go to churches and put on retreats, let us trust Him and go!

Every time I've wandered away from this ministry, He's called me back.

My prayer is that my wandering heart be bound to Him- my Guide, my Counselor, my King.

Now that my confession time is over, I want to leave you with a little challenge. Where are you right now? Are you wandering and lost, enjoying some moments but overall feeling discontent? You may be wandering outside of God's will. Go spend some time with Him. Give Him your heart, confess to Him what's going on, and pray that your heart be bound to Him.

Just a little fun fact: Prayers don't need to be eloquent or even said with the right grammar. God knows you better than you know yourself, so just spill the beans to Him and let it out. He'll be there waiting to guide you to somewhere awesome.

Thanks for reading, and be praying for us! We know God has got some things in store so we can impact the lives of His daughters.

In Christ, becoming
